Quick Tour
While I’d love for you to tour the entire site, we’re all crunched for time. Here’s an at-a-glance list of the pages I believe to be the most helpful:
My take on how to tell a great story.
Project stories detailing the strategic aspect of my work, with examples from The Lord of the Rings official movie magazine; Duke Cancer Center; SAS (business analytics software); Dark Horse Woodworks (small business client); and Produxs (Seattle user experience design firm).
How I work with clients
Some clients hire me for one-off assignments. I help with content for a website, blog posts, a customer success story, ad copy, speeches, promotional pieces, proofreading, etc.
I work for some clients on an ongoing basis. I handle a range of writing, communication or social media responsibilities. This works out well for clients who want regular help with their communications and marketing, but don’t have enough work for a full-time position.
I generally charge by the hour, but I’m happy to discuss other arrangements. My rates vary according to the type of work involved (i.e., I charge more for writing, major editing/overhaul and strategy and less for proofreading). Please get in touch for more information on projects and rates.
